President Mamnoon Hussain,
President Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
Presidents House,
Islamabad
9 December 2014.
Honorable Sir,
I want to bring to your attention two very important issues. One, the death sentences passed against a large number of Pakistanis who live in Bangladesh. These sentences have already been carried out against two people. This is in-spite of the fact that an agreement was signed between the Governments of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Bangladesh sometime in the early 1970s that the two countries will refrain from persecuting each others national who may have committed acts which maybe termed as war crimes by the other party.
Second, I would also like to bring to your attention the daily killings of innocent Pakistanis by drones and other bombings in the search for military targets. According to a recent report, aiming for two militant leaders in Pakistan, U.S. drone killed 233 Pakistanis, including 89 children. These are the citizens of a nuclear armed country! Neither the Government of Pakistan, nor the opposition have raised this issue with the US government or the international community. The details of these brutalities can be accessed on the link below:

Sir, I would like to ask you most respectfully:
Has the Government of Pakistan raised the violation of this agreement with the Government of Bangladesh (GOB)? Have we brought it to the attention of the GOB that Pakistan alone can not be expected to adhere to the agreement?
Have we raised the issue with the European Union which has a ban on capital punishment and which has granted a lot of preferences to Bangladeshi exports into the European Union? It has been observed that the European Union and the US have been able to prevail on the GOP to prevent us from carrying out capital punishments to Indians arrested and awarded death sentences for exploding bombs and carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan. But the European Union and USA do not seem to have any leverage on India and Bangladesh, who continue to murder Pakistanis and nationals from Occupied Kashmir while enjoying trade and other preferences to the EU and US markets.
Sir, have you taken any steps to get the brutal killings of Pakistani children and civilians stopped? How long are we going to remain silent spectators and watch our children and civilians being butchered like this? Right to life is the most fundamental right guaranteed in the constitution of Pakistan.
Sir, as the head of the state of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan it is your responsibility to stop the execution of innocent Pakistanis by Bangladesh or any other country and the almost daily slaughter of innocent Pakistani civilians through cruel bombings. Please use your good office to get these murders stopped before any further loss of life.
With kind regards,
Yours Sincerely,
Prof Dr Shahida Wizarat,
